Why Rojava Matters

Today in North-East Syria Kurdish women are leading a movement to build and defend a society rooted in direct-democracy, women’s liberation, cooperation, and ecology. Against all odds, the people of Rojava are proving every day that another world is possible, offering hope and inspiration in a world plagued by violence and oppression.

ECR is dedicated to raising awareness about the Rojava revolution and bringing people together to support it. Through popular education and grassroots advocacy, we are working to build a bridge of solidarity between communities in North-East Syria and the United States.
